Holiday Schedule
RSU13 Adult Ed will be closed for academic instruction starting December 23rd and will resume class schedules on January 4th. Limited office hours will be available during the break.
We hope you all have a safe and restful holiday season!

Prepare for all aspects of attending college during this 13-week distance learning course. Topics include financial aid, study skills, career exploration, time management, navigating college, technology skills, and more. This course has weekly Zoom classes and uses Brightspace, an online learning platform, for all assignments, discussions and quizzes. Students completing this course are well prepared for the college experience and earn 3 college credits through UMA.

HiSET Writing Course (FREE)
In this 6-week Zoom course, you’ll learn how to write an essay for the HiSET Writing Test. This class will focus on organizing your ideas and providing supporting details in an argumentative essay. Grammar, punctuation, and writing mechanics will also be covered. There will be opportunities for revising and editing with other students. Learn how to write your best essay!
There will be two sessions offered this spring.
Session 1: January 21-March 17, Wednesdays, 1:30-3:00 PM
Session 2: April 6-May 25, Tuesdays, 12:30-2:00 PM
Citizenship Test Preparation Class
Practice for your United States Citizenship Test interview, review your N-400 form, and study American government with civics in our 8-week Citizenship Prep class.

To help students working towards improving their skills in English language basics through practicing speaking, listening, reading and writing.Beginners Class: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 AM-12:30 PM
Designed for English Language Learners at the beginning level, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and life skills. Students will have the opportunity to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in this class.
Spring Biology with Lab

Do You Need a Device to Access Adult Education?
Don’t let a lack of technology block your way to academic success! We’ll work with you individually to build your digital literacy skills, including the use of Zoom for video conference classes. Our Learning Center has tablets, laptops, and Chromebooks available for loan to enrolled academic students with active attendance. Check in with Caitlin during your intake appointment to see what devices may be available to meet your needs.
