College Next Begins 01/29/20 Registration Still Open

College Next students, Yvette Presley and Maya Dunning, making a group effort on math assignments during class on-site at UROCK.
College Next, the RSU 13 Adult Education program for college preparation, is still accepting students for the Spring semester. Classes are on Wednesdays, beginning January 29th and finishing May 13th. In this course students learn everything they need to do well in college: how to study; manage their time; get financial aid; choose classes; navigate the college ‘world’. Students also explore careers of interest to focus their educational goals. Importantly, successful graduates earn three college credits from University of Maine at Augusta to put toward their degree. If desired, students can also register for skill building classes in mathematics and English scheduled the same day. All instruction is free- the only cost is a materials fee.
This is the perfect program for students entering college for the first time, or returning to college to finish up a degree. Because class size is small, students find the support and academic help they need from instructors and fellow students. All classes are held at UMA-Rockland Center (URock) on Wednesdays for thirteen weeks.
