RSU13 Adult Ed has joined together with Adult Ed programs across the midcoast region to create a Hub. This new model is being adopted by the state to encourage programs to apply for grants together, share resources and expertise, and to create Professional Learning Communities for instructors. Members of Hub 7 include Adult Ed programs from RSU 3 (Mount View), Belfast, 5 Towns Regional School District, RSU 13, Region 8 Mid Coast School of Technology, MSAD 40 (Waldoboro), Central Lincoln County, RSU 1 (Wiscasset), Merrymeeting (Topsham) and RSU 12 (Sheepscott Valley).
Instructors from Hub 7 recently met for their first Professional Learning Community meeting at Medomak Valley High School. Instructors ate dinner together and shared challenges and instructional strategies. Instructors will continue to meet regularly using online tools such as Zoom, to continue this collaboration.
